Blog 16: Independent Component 2 Approval

1.  Describe in detail what you plan to do for your 30 hours.
For the 30 hours required for independent component 2, I will be creating a lesson plan revolved around the Project Based learning the kindergarten class is getting into learning. For my first independent component I tried teaching a lesson but do to so much going on at my mentorship I couldn't teach , I have talked to my mentor and she said this time and now that the class is starting project based learning I can guide students and teach a lesson and give them an activity to work on , so I will basically be taking over the classroom for just a little while and with the supervision of my mentor.
2.  Discuss how or what you will do to meet the expectation of showing 30 hours of evidence.
In in order to show proof of what I did for my independent components 2 I can ask my mentor to record just a segment of me teaching / giving instructions and I can also show pictures of what the students have been working on and the different activities I have been working on with the students.
3.  Explain how this component will help you explore your topic in more depth.
This competent is gonna give me an oversight of what it's like to actually be a kindergarten teacher , it's gonna let me further understand what it would feel like to be an actual teacher for the students . I can test out some of my senior project essential question answers. Such as classroom management; I can test out different methods of keeping classroom management and see how well students behave. 4.  Post a log in your Senior Project Hours link and label it "Independent Component 2" log.

  1. Do you mean a Unit Plan? I don't think a lesson plan would take anything like 30 hours. I'd like you to do a unit plan and probably relate it to Common Core Standards. I'm glad to hear that you are going to get to do some of this in the classroom. Also glad to see that you are thinking about your EQ and answers. Make sure to post your EQ at the top of the blog!
